1-4. 4 DAY SNOWBOARDING SCHOOL
Our snowboarding school is designed for beginners as well as those with a basic level of competence who wish to improve their skills. combined with contrasting activities this is a really exciting winter holiday ased in the stunningly beautiful Soca River valley that will appeal to both active family and adult groups.
Based at 2200 metres Kanin Ski Centre is the highest winter resort in Slovenia and offers skiing for beginners through to intermediate and advanced level. Kanin stands out from other resorts due to its amazing location above the Bovec Basin with the turquoise waters of the Soca river snaking through the valley below. With incredible views in all directions reaching to Venice and the Adriatic coast whether skiing or boarding at Kanin you are guaranteed a unique experience. The resort has recently installed additional lifts which operate between Kanin (Slovenia) and Sella Nevea (Italy) allowing skiing in two countries in the same day creating a resort of international standard. The benefits of skiing in this unique country are endless; from excellent snow conditions, quieter pistes, longer season to the three course meal for under 10 Euros served in Kanin’s restaurant.

5. SNOWSHOEING
The heavy snowfall of recent winters has made snowshoeing a popular activity in the Soca valley and this activity is a fantastic way to explore out of the way places in this magical winter wonderland. Walking with snowshoes is a primal mode of motion through a snowed-in landscape, as these simple yet effective tools were used by primitive tribesmen as a means of hunting animals thousands of years ago. Nowadays, snowshoes are used as recreational tools providing an effective means to walk in a winter environment and enjoy a snowy landscape. Our guided tours are customised to suit the fitness and requirements of each group and include day and night trips (2-3 hrs) to full day trips (4-5 hrs). Our trips are run in the valleys of Loska Koritnica, Zadnica, Zapoden, Tamar and Krnica.

6. DOG SLEDDING
Imagine the dogs, bursting with energy, adrenaline pumping waiting for the driver’s ‘mushing’ call….and after a loud command we are off…picking up speed quickly the dogs pulling the ropes as snow dust swirls all around. This is an exhilarating activity where you can enjoy an age-old mode of travel used by ancient tribesmen whizzing over the snow across a beautiful winter landscape. In the absence of mechanised sound interrupting the silence, we will travel on trails amidst snow covered mountains and forests and all you will hear is yelps of canine enthusiasm as your sleigh moves across the snow – a wonderful experience for active families or adult groups.

Booking Information
- All bookings are based on 4 persons and price per person is the same for both adults and children.
- For a reduced group size the price may be subject to variation based on number of persons and dates required.
- Price excludes return transfers from Ljubljana (Slovenia), Klagenfurt (Austria) or Trieste Airport (Italy)
- Booking terms: 20% deposit and balance payable 8 weeks before travel date.
- Payment method: BACS or cheque – please confirm preference at time of booking
- It is a condition of all bookings that persons are in a good state of health and are fit to participate in our activities.
Cancellation costs
- Bookings can be cancelled free of charge within 7 days of your booking. Your payment will be refunded in full.
- Cancelling 60 to 30 days prior to departure incurs a charge of 50% of the total booking value.
- Bookings cancelled less than 30 days prior to departure cannot be refunded.
Travel insurance
- We strongly advise you to acquire appropriate outdoor activity insurance and recommend our partners @ SPORTS COVER DIRECT. Sports and activity insurance covers the cost of medical aid and emergency expenses on your adventure or sports holiday when travelling abroad.
